The purpose-built McNeilus Volterra ZFL eRCV can help achieve customer sustainability goals. The vehicle features an electrified drivetrain, e-axle architecture, smart battery system and cooperative regenerative braking to enable an all-day route on a single charge with zero emissions. It is certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Zero Emissions
The McNeilus Volterra ZFL has earned three certifications from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB). This provides customers a solution to achieve their sustainability goals and meet EV requirements.
Smart Battery Management System
The intuitive system has advanced load-shedding capabilities based on critical levels and increases the number of battery charge/discharge cycles to preserve battery life. Also, if the remaining battery charge gets too low, the system will limit specific non-essential functions. The Volterra ZFL eRCV includes a specifically-designed battery system for the refuse profile to enhance the life over the product lifecycle.

With a battery capacity approximately 25% higher than the industry average, the vehicle delivers an extended range. This can help service numerous locations and complete more routes.
