New 15,000-square-foot facility expands service capacity, parts availability and regional support for refuse and recycling collection fleets.

Dodge Center, MN (November 5, 2026) – McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) business, today announced that Atlantic Heavy Duty, an authorized McNeilus® dealer, has opened a new 15,000-square-foot regional service center in Chester, Virginia. The new facility expands Atlantic Heavy Duty’s service network and enhances access to maintenance, repair, parts and technical support for refuse and recycling vehicle operators throughout Virginia.
Located at 12700 Old Stage Road in Chester, the new regional service center is designed to provide increased service capacity, faster turnaround times and expanded parts availability while strengthening local support for refuse and recycling service providers and fleets. The facility is supported by a dedicated regional team focused on helping customers maximize vehicle uptime and fleet readiness.
The Chester location builds on Atlantic Heavy Duty’s growing refuse and recycling service network, which includes regional service centers, paint and collision centers and an extensive mobile service fleet. Together, these resources provide customers throughout Atlantic Heavy Duty’s service territory with access to new truck sales services and comprehensive maintenance and repair capabilities, whether at a service center or in the field.
“The opening of our Chester Regional Service Center represents another important investment in the customers and fleets we support throughout Virginia,” said Scott Ravert, vice president of refuse parts and service for Atlantic Heavy Duty. “With additional service capacity, an expanded parts inventory and a dedicated regional team, we’re positioned to provide customers with the responsive, expert support they need to keep their vehicles on the road. Our goal is to be there throughout the life of their equipment, from routine maintenance to major repairs and everything in between.”
Atlantic Heavy Duty provides a comprehensive range of refuse vehicle services, including preventative maintenance, warranty work, chassis and drivetrain service, suspension maintenance, CNG inspection and repair, hydraulic service and electrical repair. The company also supports major repairs and refurbishments, including fabrication, painting, chassis and body swaps, upfits and body-off restorations.
In addition to in-shop service, Atlantic Heavy Duty operates a fully equipped mobile service fleet capable of providing routine and emergency repairs in the field. Its dedicated parts operation supports all makes and models, with six parts specialists and more than $2 million in parts inventory available across its network.
The new Chester facility was showcased during an open house on October 16, giving customers an opportunity to tour the 15,000-square-foot service center, meet Atlantic Heavy Duty’s service, parts and apparatus experts, and see McNeilus refuse trucks and roll-off equipment on display.
“Our dealer network plays an important role in how we support McNeilus customers long after a vehicle enters service,” said Lee Dreas, president of McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing. “Atlantic Heavy Duty continues to invest in the people, resources and local presence needed to build lasting customer relationships, and the new Chester facility is another example of that commitment.”
Through its independent dealer network, McNeilus remains committed to ensuring refuse and recycling customers have access to industry-leading service, support and innovation wherever they operate.
